As we get information on special programs/events for students, they will be listed below and updated periodically:

 YCAL Career Exploration Programs for the 2019-2020 School Year

The York County Alliance for Learning has partnered with several businesses and schools to offer students an opportunity to explore different careers at no cost to the student. Some of the career programs that may be available in the fall include:  Agriculture, Engineering, CDL, Media Careers, Education, Criminal Justice & Forensics, Healthcare, Human Services, Information Technology, Law, Music Industry, Culinary, Vet Careers, Automotive Industry, and Respiratory Care. Applications for spring programs in fields such as Skilled Trades, Hospitality Management, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Insurance Careers, Education, Nursing Simulation Lab, Mechatronics, Entrepreneurship, Medical Asst, Cosmetology, Sports Managmenet,and Creative Careers should be available on December 2, 2019.  Please refer to the YCAL web site at www.ycal.us for more information on program details and the application process. 

Terp Young Scholars program at the University of Maryland - July 12-31, 2020
     3 week competitive summer program for high school students.  Students can earn 3 college credits in courses such as Forensic Sciences, Architecture, Environmental Biology, Criminology, Creative Writing, Kinesiology, Mock Trial, Biopharmaceutical Production, and Psychology among others.  Learn more or apply at tys.umd.edu

Health and Biomedical Sciences Summer Camp - July 26-31, 2020  Lebanon Valley College

Harrisburg University Summer Exploration Camps - June/July/August
    Harrisburg University is offering a variety of summer camp options for students entering grades 9-12.  Camps include:  Emerging Medical Technologies, 3D Printing for Medicine, Introduction to the Practice of Medicine, Nanobiotechnology, Forensic Science, IT, Animation and 3D Modeling, Filmmaking, Music Video Camp, Environmental Geospatial Technology, and Aquaponics among several other.  For more information, go to:  https://camps.harrisburgu.edu/
